CII 205     Introductory Keyboarding     0.5 Units

This course is a self-paced individualized study course offered to students with very little or no experience on a computer. Students will be introduced to computer keyboarding. Practical experience is emphasized. This course prepares students for a more comprehensive BIS keyboarding class. Students pursuing BIS certificates should enroll in BIS 011A instead of this course.

This course prepares students for a more comprehensive BIS class such as BIS 121 or BIS 125.

Emphasis is on practical experience such as mouse moves, starting and exiting programs, renaming, saving and retrieving files, and general computer terms.
