CADD - Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) - Associate in Science
The Associate of Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) offers specialized state-of-the-art CAD instruction, featuring AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools. The CAD department at Evergreen Valley College offers a wide variety of course work designed for individuals wanting to expand their existing technical skills and for new students wanting to prepare for employment in numerous CAD related fields. Drafters and designers prepare technical drawings, designs, diagrams, reports, and specifications for a wide variety of scientific, commercial, industrial, and government projects. Computer hardware design, aerospace design, automotive design, architectural design, electronics design, technical illustration, and the design and drafting of such items as disk drives, mechanisms, cellular telephones, and medical equipment are just the few of the areas of employment available for drafters and designers in our local area. Students must complete each major course and major elective course with a grade of “C” or better to be awarded the degree.
